For years now kids and teens spontaneously tell me how they feel like they spend too much time on screens. But many of them also tell me ways they work to cut down on screen time.

I have always found that when engaging with youth and teens about ways to prevent excessive screen time, it works extremely well to give examples of what other young people do. So this TTT could really help you in having a great conversation this week with youth in you're life.

Most of my day is spent in front of a screen. I am one of the guilty people who are addicted to using the internet that I sometimes forget that I have been on it for hours already. One of the things that I do to limit myself from screen time is to find hobbies that I enjoy. Some of them is writing poetry, making greeting cards for my loved ones, decluttering my things, and the like. Basically, you need to find something that would make you busy for hours, but at the same time, it would not feel like it. That is why it is important for that hobby to be something that you actually enjoy, so that it would not feel like time is very slowly passing by.
