Lori Getz M.A.

Since 2004 Lori has worked as an Instructional Technologist in Los Angeles, CA. She has a Master of Arts in Educational Technology from San Diego State University. In September 2008, Lori founded Cyber Education Consultants and began speaking to students, parents, and educators about Internet safety, security, and ethics.
Since the pandemic began, Lori's focus has shifted to help families understand the difference between quantity and quality screen time, health and wellness factors, how technology influences decision-making and how to stay safe while needing the Internet to connect with school, family and friends.
Lori is an educator, mother, and Internet safety expert. She has appeared on the "Dr. Phil Show," "Today," "Good Morning America," "HLN," “Dr. Drew,” and several other local news & radio programs and podcasts. Lori is the author of The Tech Savvy User's Guide to the Digital World, a workbook for tween and teens. Lori also has a new book coming out next May titled, "Navigating the Right Kind of Popular"; a workbook for tweens and teens to help young people find healthy attention in a status obsessed world. Her insight comes from both her professional and personal life working with children, tweens, and teens.
